About Dr Zhang

mcclary032810-018Dr Li Zhang, LAC., MD (Earned in China). M .S. is a licensed acupuncturist with over 15 years of education and experience.  She graduated top of her class from the best college of  Traditional Chinese Medicine in China and then went on to work for the most prestigious and largest acupuncture center in China. Dr. Zhang was born and raised in a medical family. She majored in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine in college and practiced in Shanghai before moving to the United States.

She got her MD. from Chendu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture  from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. These schools are the best schools of Chinese Medicine in China.  In addition to studying Chinese Medicine she also studied Western Medicine to broaden her knowledge of the human body. She has eight years of education in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. Graduating magna cum laude from both Universities. She held  a position with the largest acupuncture center in China, Shanghai Acupuncture and Moxibustion institution. Selection for a position there is very competitive and it was a great honor for her to hold that position.

She worked as an acupuncturist in Shanghai for six years before coming to the United States. With her education and previous work experience she has a great knowledge in combining acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat various internal chronic conditions and pain. In addition to her general practice, she specializes in women’s health and fertility  problems. She has been successful in treating infertility, IUI, IVF support, high FSH, Chinese herbs, miscarriage, egg quality, implantation, embryo transfer, uterine lining, pregnancy, endometriosis, premature ovarian failure. Other illnesses she is familiar with treating include:  Allergy, stress , stroke rehabilitation, neuromuscular paralysis, Parkinson’s disease, hypertension, migraine, neurodegenerative disease, arthritis, sport injuries, chronic pain and numbness, diarrhea, colitis, irritable bowel syndrome. She also was specialty trained in pediatric acupuncture in China. She has helped children with autism disease.  She has had more than twenty publications and one book, Pediatric Acupressure, published.
